Junior Hockey: New Ulm rallies late to edge North Stars
Jarrett Cammarata scored twice in a span of 37 seconds late in the game to lead the New Ulm Steel past the Breezy Point North Stars 4-3 in North American3 Hockey League action Saturday, Nov. 24.
The North Stars led 2-1 after the first period on goals by Cooper Hoheisel and Evan O'Connor. The Steel tied it late in the second period before Carson Simon tallied to make it 3-2 heading into the final period. Cammarata tied it 3-3 with 1:41 remaining in the contest and netted the game-winner with 1:04 left.
Winning goaltender Henry Baribeau had 29 saves while Lane Fox stopped 39 shots for Breezy Point.
Wednesday, Nov. 21, the Granite City Lumberjacks skated past the North Stars 10-0 as Bailey Sommers had two goals and winning netminder David Mulligan made 19 saves. Fox and Dan Fielding combined for 38 saves.
Breezy Point is scheduled to play at Willmar Friday, Nov. 30, and host Granite City at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
