Holiday high-step: Horse'n Around Harding Christmas Parade
HARDING—Deck the horses with boughs of holly, flashing lights and bells, and they're ready for the Horse'n Around Harding Christmas Parade.
The fifth annual event Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Morrison County city of Harding—population 125—featured 25 units and 52 horses of all shapes and sizes, rolling and and trotting through the main street. The riders and floats first gather at the Gross family farm before dazzling the community with festive and colorful holiday displays.
After the parade, everyone was invited to the Harding Community Center for a potluck. Also taking place as part of the event were a holiday craft and vendor sale in the Holy Cross Church basement, horse wagon rides, Santa pictures and hot dogs, hot drinks and goodies in front of the Harding Sportsman's Bar & Grill.
