Gretchen Koering and Craig Anderson will join the Pine River Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the chamber membership voted at its November meeting. Both will begin serving four-year terms starting Jan. 1, 2019.

Jay Cline and Michael Clayton will leave the board after each having served eight years. The membership thanked both Cline and Clayton for their service

Koering is a wife and mom of three teenagers. She was born and raised in Minneapolis and moved to Pine River 20 years ago. She has worked at Hanneken Insurance for almost three years. She previously worked in Baxter for more than 16 years, which made it a challenge to be involved in the community.

Koering has had the opportunity to volunteer with the Pine River-Backus Elementary School PTO and Pine River-Backus Boosters. Koering was raised to be involved and support her community and looks forward to assisting in the growth of Pine River.

Anderson is the owner of Trussworthy Components, a truss manufacturing company in Pine River. Anderson has been a lifelong member of the Pine River community along with his wife, Brenda.

Anderson has been active with the Miss Pine River Committee, the Pine River Area EDC and has been a chamber member since starting his business. Anderson will represent the manufacturing segment of the Pine River Chamber of Commerce.
