Nisswa Pony team wins

The Nisswa Pony League baseball team defeated visiting Crosby-Ironton 14-3 on Monday, June 25.

Winning pitcher Chad Christianson walked two as C-I assumed a 3-0 lead in the first. He then allowed two hits and struck out six over the next three innings.

Nisswa had five runs in the in the bottom of the inning on hits by Christianson and Jared Sewell.

Nisswa added four runs in the second as Peter Moran singled and Christianson doubled. Gage Westlund later added an RBI double. Nisswa then ended the game by the 10-run rule in the bottom of the fifth.

Will Peabody was 3-for-3 with two runs scored while Christianson and Sewall were each 2-for-3.
