Stone, Heggerston chosen co-MVP of Patriots' golf team

Pequot Lakes' Savannah Stone, left, and Maggie Heggerston were recently honored as most valuable golfers for the Patriots. They were both Class AA state qualifiers and All-Mid-State Conference selections.

Savannah Stone and Maggie Heggerston were recently honored as co-most valuable players for the Pequot Lakes Patriots girls' golf team.

Heggerston finished third while Stone was fifth to help the Patriots finished second at the Section 6AA meet. Heggerston then placed 17th while Stone was 26th at the Class AA state meet.

Both golfers were All-Mid-State Conference players. Other awards included: Megan Snyder, most improved; Sam Olmscheid, most dedicated; Amanda Nies, Coaches Award; and Erica Schwalbe, Patriot Award. Olmscheid and Schwalbe were both all-conference honorable mention.
