The Pine River-Backus Early Childhood Coalition encourages the community to take part in Early Childhood Challenge.
Did you know...
Fewer than half of Minnesota's children enter kindergarten fully prepared.
For every $1 invested in Early Childhood it is estimated that between $2 and $17 are saved.
Between the ages of birth and age five the brain develops at a faster rate than at any other time in a person's life.
Children learn to handle stress, frustration, disappointment and excitement from the people around them.
Talking to your child in everyday conversations will increase your child's vocabulary and self-esteem.
Do you have what it takes to make a difference in the life of a child? Step up and take the Early Childhood Challenge with us!
Early Childhood Challenge
Find 30 minutes a week, of uninterrupted time, to spend with an important child in your life, who is under 5 years old. Turn off the phone, unplug the T.V. What can you do in 30 minutes? Let your important child decide! Will they want to play with cars? Go for a walk? Dig in the dirt? Make a snack? Talk? It's ok, no one's watching. Get dirty. Be silly. Get in touch. They'll love you for it.
Be watching for future Challenges! Help us make the PR-B Community an even stronger supporter of Early Childhood than we already are.
Do you have suggestions for a future EC Challenge or would like to share what you did for the current challenge?
