Senior Aaron Parker was chosen most valuable player for the Pequot Lakes Patriots baseball team.

Parker batted .308 and was an All-Mid-State Conference honorable mention selection. He led the Patriots in hits, doubles and home runs.

Nick Greiner earned the coaches award and was named the Best Pitcher after compiling a 3.12 earned-run average with 26 strikeouts in 51.2 innings.

Juniors Jordan Redmond and Gavin Bickford were co-winners of the Team Morale Award while Gage Kennedy earned the Batting Champion Awards with a .333 average. Austin Mesenbrink won the Most Improved Player award after finishing third on the team with a .278 average.

Zach Cogan led Pequot Lakes with 13 runs scored and 11 walks. Aspen Florey was second with 12 runs and 15 hits while Connor Chambers had a team-high 13 RBI. Others receiving letters were juniors Hunter Leslie, Zach Northenscold, Alex Galligan, Keegan Couture and Peter Kostecka.

"We lose three seniors (Greiner, Parker and Cogan), but the outlook for next year is great with 10 juniors coming back," said Patriots coach Kyle Spray.

Pequot Lakes finished 8-12 overall after losing to Sauk Centre 3-2 in 10 innings in the Subsection 6AA playoffs.
