Paving of Highway 371 through Pine River was in full swing Wednesday, June 13. The detour was initially slated to open the weekend of June 15, but material and rain delays slowed the project.
The temporary detours for northbound and southbound traffic on Highway 371 in Pine River were slated to be lifted on Wednesday, June 20, weather permitting, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Temporary stop signs will be used to control traffic at the intersection of Highway 371 and Highway 84, until a temporary signal system can be installed.
The installation of the temporary signal system is expected to be completed by June 26.
Due to manufacture delays of signal parts, the permanent traffic signal system will not be up and operational until the last week of July or the first week of August.
