Local band Decade 7 will perform this summer in Pequot Lakes, Crosby and Crosslake.
Playing music created after Woodstock and before MTV, Decade 7 brings the sound of the 1970s to the Brainerd lakes area this summer.
The six-piece band was the brainchild of guitarist and production specialist Jeff Boozell (Cold Water Johnsons, Chopper Loose) of Crosslake.
In 2011, he recruited friends and fellow Crosslake musicians, vocalist Brad Wallace (SKATYRS, Sola Fidae) and his brother, drummer Bart Wallace (Red Dot Garage, Country Roads, Tommy B).
Bass guitarist Paul Boblett (Dirty Bomb, Faith Boblett Band, Six Feet & Risin') of Outing, and keyboardist Shannon Webster (Sidestreet, Astara, Girl's Night Out) of Nisswa, joined shortly after that.
Lead guitarist Joel Jenkins (Wyld Ryce, The Press, Key Lane) of Brainerd joined the group this spring.
The song list includes Bread, Guess Who, Paul Simon, America, Led Zeppelin and the Eagles.
The band will perform Saturdays, June 30 and Aug. 18, at Trailside Park in Pequot Lakes; Thursday, July 26, at Crosby Music in the Park; and Saturday, Sept. 1, at Crosslake Town Square.
