Lake Shore Shoreline Restoration Tour on June 21

The City of Lake Shore and the Gull Chain of Lakes Association will sponsor a shoreline restoration tour at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, starting from
Lake Shore City Hall. Heather Baird, Shoreline Specialist from the DNR will be leading the tour. Attendees will visit several nearby shorelines on which projects have been done or are in progress.
In addition to improving water quality and creating natural beauty, shoreline restoration improves habitat for animals on the shore, fish in the water and birds and waterfowl. Shorelines threatened by erosion can also be stabilized.
No reservations are necessary to attend the tour.
