Sealed proposals will be received for:

HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF PINE RIVER SCATTERED HOUSING UNITS - ROOFING REPLACEMENT PINE RIVER, MINNESOTA

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Bid package scope includes roofing replacement for ten residential housing units and their adjacent storage sheds located within a few blocks of each other in Pine River, MN.

BASIS OF BIDS: Single-Prime Lump Sum Construction Bids will be received for labor and materials as outlined in the Drawings and Project Manual.

BID DATE AND LOCATION: Sealed Bids will be received at Norway Brook Apartments, HRA of Pine River, 312 First Street South, Pine River, MN 56474, then publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be received until 11:00 am local time, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security in form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to Owner, as guarantee that Bidder will, if awarded, enter into Contract in accordance with Contract Documents and submitted Bid.

EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS: Bidders shall carefully examine entire contents of Contract Documents prepared for the Work to become thoroughly familiar with all requirements. Drawings, Project Manual, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the Office of the Architect, Widseth Smith Nolting - Bemidji Office and Baxter Office.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: All bidders are invited to attend a Pre-Bid Conference, which will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:00 am local time. Meet at the parking lot of Heartland Apartments, 445 Snell Ave, Pine River, MN and we will walk to one of the project sites.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: It is recommended that bidders visit the construction site to obtain first-hand knowledge of existing conditions relative to the Work to be performed. Contractors shall not receive extra payments for conditions, which can be determined by examination of the site and the Contract Documents.

TIME OF COMPLETION: The Contractor shall indicate the number of calendar days required to complete the work on the Bid Form.

PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Contractor shall provide Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Sum.

OWNER'S RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject a Bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular or to waive informalities or irregularities in a Bid received, and accept a Bid, which in the Owner's judgment is in the Owner's best interest.
