Joe Smith, Blake Demars and Kayla Peltier won individual events at a Walker conference meet to lead their respective teams.
The meet was held May 14.
Smith won two events, the 800-meter run and the triple jump, and Demars won in the discus to lead PR-B to a fourth place finish with 76 points. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley won the team title with 164 points and Northome/Kelliher/Blackduck was second with 133 points.
Smith captured the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08 and ran a 4:45 to take second in the 1,600-meter run. Aaron Kottschade finished fourth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 12:51 and Jason Plantz was fifth with a time of 13:00. The Tigers were fifth in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 53.3 and were fourth in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:52.
Kottschade captured second in the shot put with a toss of 41' 5" and Demars had a toss of 36' 6.5" for third place. Demars won the discus with a toss of 123' 1" and Kottschade was second with a throw of 117' 4". Smith captured the triple jump with a leap of 36' 4.5" and had a leap of 17' 1" for fourth place in the long jump.
Peltier captured the discus and was second in the high jump to lead the Tigers to a fifth-place finish in the girls' event. Nevis won the team title with 175 points and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley was second with 165 points. The Tigers finished with 34 points for fifth place.
Marina Schrupp took third place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.56 seconds and Peltier was fifth with a time of 14.62 seconds. Schrupp also took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29 seconds. In the 100-meter hurdles, Tori Sechser ran a 20.96 for fifth place.
Peltier captured the discus with a toss of 88', had a leap of 4' 10" to tie for second place in the high jump and finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 23' 6.5".
The Tigers will compete in the Sub-Section meet on May 27 in Wadena.
