Shoreland Restoration class offered May 27 in Crosslake

As part of Crosslake in Bloom, a Shoreland Restoration class will be offered at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Crosslake Community Center.

Dick Raymond, Crow Wing County master gardener, will lead the class.

Learn the benefits of shoreland vegetation, how to re-establish vegetation strips along the shoreline and hear how shoreland property owners can restore natural functions to their shorelines.

Through the use of video material, discuss why natural shorelines help protect water quality and wildlife habitat.
