There comes a time in the cycle of politics when one must say, enough is enough. Oberstar does not represent what Minnesota wants or needs. His vote for ObamaCare just shows how out of touch Oberstar is with real Minnesotans. In fact, most democrats or republicans alike cannot list a handful of things that Oberstar has actually done for Minnesota.
If you are a Christian, your tax dollars now support abortions. I know... you say, Obama signed an executive order. Well, hate to be the one to tell you, it means nothing. Executive orders do not have the effect of law. Oberstar voted for it. He voted against life.
Oberstar taunts people with jobs, jobs, jobs, like he does with every campaign. But what jobs has Oberstar created...zero. His self protectionist attitude of protecting unions has waged war on Fed Ex and the Airlines. Did this help Minnesota?
And there is his Clean Water Bill which will turn control of all Minnesota water to the federal government. Now do you really want everything but your bird bath water subject to control of a government that cannot even make the Postal Service solvent?
Oberstar constantly attacks womens' rights and has refused to introduce any legislation to protect jobs and workers in the workplace or their communities. His legislation is aimed at keeping the money flowing into his campaign coffers and supporting his comfortable lifestyle. Must be rough to live in a Swiss chalet while your constituients who you say you represent, suffer in Minnesota. When is the last time you saw Oberstar in Minnesota, let alone do anything good for our State? Time to stop voting for him on sound bites and political inuendo and replace him with someone who will actually look out for Minnesota!
