Easter festivities planned at Pequot Lakes Library, Legion

The Easter Bunny is coming to the Pequot Lakes Library from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 31. Aside from meeting with the Bunny, children will hear stories, do a project, sing songs and have an Easter Egg Hunt. Each child who attends will receive a free book compliments of the Early Childhood Coalition of Pequot Lakes.

Lacey Stiller, Jenkins photographer, will be there from 11:15 a.m. until noon to take photos, for a small fee, of children with the Easter Bunny. This program is best suited to children preschool through third grade. It is being sponsored by the library and by the Early Childhood Coalition of Pequot Lakes.

After the program, children may go to the Pequot Lakes Legion Club for lunch and more festivities.

The American Legion Auxiliary and Post 49 will host a free hot dog lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for children 10 and under. Cost for adults and children over 10 is $3 or a freewill offering for the food shelf.

Bring a non-perishable food item for the food shelf to support FoodShare month. All proceeds and food items will be donated to the local food shelf.
