The Miners are hitting .252 as a team, while the Oilers are second in the league with a .249 average in cumulative stats through Sunday.
Peninsula still has the top pitching staff in the league by a healthy margin, boasting a 2.04 ERA. The Anchorage Bucs are second at 2.96.
Oilers shortstop Mike Miller still leads the league with a .388 average. Brady Hohl of the Anchorage Glacier Pilots is second at .327, while Troy Channing of the Oilers is third at .317. Miller and Channing are the only Oilers in the top 10.
Miller leads the league in runs with 20, leads the league in hits with 40, is tied for the league lead in doubles with eight, and is tied for the league lead in triples with two.
Patrick Wisdom of the Oilers is second in the league with 18 runs, leads the league with 21 RBIs, and is tied for the league lead in home runs with four.
Tanner Rust is tied for third in the league with 16 hits and is tied for second in RBIs with 16.
Channing is tied for third in hits with 33 with the Oilers' Chris Mallory. Channing is tied for the league lead in doubles with eight, tied for the league lead in home runs with four, and is tied for second in RBIs with 16.
The Oilers have the top two pitchers in the league with a minimum of .8 innings per number of games played by the team. John Maciel leads with a 0.81 ERA, while Jordan Mills checks in at 1.00 and also is tied for the league lead in wins with four. J.D.
