Let's suppose that a powerful third-party candidate surfaces for the 2012 Presidential election race. Then suppose that none of the three candidates can garner the needed 270 electoral votes to win. It's my understanding that the House of Representatives would then pick one of the three to be President. Conclusion: It's a perfect set up for Sarah Palin to rock the boat and run as an independent third-party candidate.

Now you can recieve a $5,600.00 tax credit for hiring a Iraq or Afghanistan veteran. Now you can recieve a $9,600.00 tax credit for hiring a wounded warrior. Now there are no excuses for not hiring Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

President Obama signed this bill into law Nov. 21, 2011; it is now the law of the land. Now our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans will move to the front of the line for job interviews and job opportunities. More than any other group of Alaskans, our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families have earned this!

Even after 100 years of positive advancements in psychiatric patient rights and quality of care, more needs to be done. For the most part there is a healthy symbiotic relationship between those seeking or needing medical help and those providing the help.

It is the helpless that do not always fare well in a free marketplace. One of the best examples is individuals with a severe mental illness or dual diagnosis; mental illness along with a myriad of conditions that may decrease mental capacity.

After watching the dialogue between our Congressman Don Young and Professor Brinkley from Texas, it becomes clear on what others think about Alaskans.

We are just backward folk who need the direction from those smart people from the Lower 48.

Why is it that Professor Brinkley, from Texas, a State where the people control 98% of their land should have a say about how Alaskans should control our land?
