A Ninilchik man died Friday night after his motorcycle collided with a truck in Ninilchik.

Lewis Gerald, 33, was flown to an Anchorage hospital via Life Med helicopter, but succummbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Alaska State Troopers dispatch received a report at 7:44 p.m. of a crash at the intersection of Easy Street and Burlwood Lane. Investigation revealed a Chevrolet truck driven by Ninilchik resident Greydon Campbell, 17, was southbound when Gerald's northbound Honda motorcycle crossed the center lane and collided with the truck head-on.

The Kenai River Special Management Area Advisory Board is looking for three members.

The 17-member advisory board is accepting applications for public representatives until Sept. 1. Terms are for three years.

The board meets monthly except in the summer, and represents a broad spectrum of interests concerned with Kenai River habitat, fish and wildlife resources and recreation. It includes eight public members and nine members representing state, federal and local government.

A Kenai woman was arraigned in Anchorage District Court Thursday morning for her alleged role in an interstate oxycodone distribution and money laundering ring.

Jaqueline Gattenby, 30, faces four counts of conspiracy to traffic narcotics, conspiracy to launder proceeds garnered from the illegal distribution of said narcotics, and money laundering. She pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Among Gattenby's seven co-defendants is her husband Jonathen Gattenby, 28, who faces similar charges. The eight were indicted by a federal grand jury in Anchorage on June 21.
