Crosswoods ladies open May 7 Opening play for the Crosswoods Ladies' Golf League will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Crosswoods Golf Course on County Road 3 in Crosslake. The group will meet for signup at the club house.

Fairways league to start The Fairways at Howard's Barn Women's League will kick off the 2014 season Tuesday, May 6. In May, sign-in will be at 9:30 a.m. with play beginning at 10 a.m. From June through September, sign-in will be at 8:30 a.m.

The Brainerd Area ATV clubs will host their seventh annual ATV Spring Fling on Sunday, April 27, for ATV enthusiasts at the Old Waterfall on Highway 371. The event will start with a social at 2:30 p.m. followed by speakers at 3:30 p.m.
