Men's, women's golf
leagues forming at Emily Greens course
The first week in May is the beginning of golf leagues at Emily Greens.
The focus of these leagues is on the fun and recreational side of golf. It is a great way to have a good time, meet new people and share golf experiences with old friends.
The leagues are set up so it is not a problem to miss a week or two during the summer. Players can join in mid- or late May, too.
Men’s morning leagues will start Tuesday, May 7, at 9 a.m. for nine holes on the front 9 and at 11 a.m. for nine holes on the back 9. Play either nine-hole league or all 18 holes.
At the end of May, Sunsetters and Sundowners Match Play League will be set up with matches starting after Memorial Day. Match play leagues play either Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings.
The women’s leagues will start Wednesday, May 1, at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 2, at 9 a.m. Each league plays nine holes on the front 9 at Emily Greens.
Mixed leagues will play Monday mornings. The start date has not been set, but it will scheduled around Memorial Day.
