The Pequot Lakes Revolution dance team has a young lineup this season after finishing second in the Northern Lights Conference last year.
“This year’s team is young, although a very dedicated and determined group of dancer athletes,” said Revolution head coach Amber Pederson. “In my opinion, we have two strong routines in kick and jazz leading us into our competition season. They are challenging, therefore pushing us to new levels of difficulty.”
Returning letterwinners are seniors Khloe Wiewel and Shai Peterson; junior Nicole Barta; and sophomores Abbey Mumm, Alyse Anderson, Cortney Chambers, Macy Dotty and Candyce Spielman.
Others who could contribute are freshman Kaylee Tuchek, Taylor Mudgett and Kaisa Bernu; and eighth-graders Karlie Trottier, Alexis Lueck, Kylee Mortenson and Ashley Embree.
“One of my favorite parts of coaching is watching a routine choreographed on paper come to life on a gym floor,” Coach Pederson said. “We are very excited to see what the season has in store for us.”
Assistant coaches for the Revolution this season are Allie Spieker, Jayde Jensen and Emily Schroeder.
