Nisswa Park and Recreation’s fall soccer program is open to girls and boys in grades K-12.
The program will stress team play, sportsmanship, participation and fun. All participants will receive a team T-shirt.
The first practice will be Sept. 7 at the Nisswa Park baseball field. The season will end Oct. 17, or sooner, depending upon weather.
Practices/games will be on Tuesday or Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. Practice dates will be set by coaches.
Grades K-3 will practice from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturdays.
Practices will work on fundamentals, skills, ball handling and scrimmaging. Players are encouraged to wear shin guards and must wear tennis shoes or rubber cleats.
Co-ed teams will be formed by grade levels: grades K-1, 2-3, 4-6 (coached by Clark Hickman), 7-8 and 9-12.
Team schedules are being finalized with teams from Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, Pine River and Baxter. Practices and home games will be at Nisswa Park.
All game schedules and team communication will be emailed to parents.
Participation fee is $44 per participant and includes T-shirt. Registration and check made payable to Nisswa Park & Recreation should be mailed by Sept. 5 to P.O. Box 410, Nisswa, MN 56468.
