The annual Run/Walk/Ride Around Woman Lake will be Saturday, May 4, in Longville.
This event features a sanctioned 30K run on a certified course; a 5-mile run/walk; or an 18-mile recreational bike ride.
7:30: Registration opens for all events at Patrick’s Restaurant.
8:30 a.m.: Bike riders gather at St. Edward’s Catholic Church parking lot for pre-ride preparation.
8:45 a.m.: Bike ride starts. All riders start at the same time. This is an untimed recreational ride, not a race, that ends in downtown Longville.
9 a.m.: Sanctioned 30K run starts at St. Edward’s Catholic Church and follows certified course around Woman Lake, ending in downtown Longville.
9:15 a.m.: 5-mile run and walk start in downtown Longville; course goes 2.5 miles west on County Road 5, then turns around and comes back to downtown Longville.
1 p.m.: Awards ceremony at Patrick’s Restaurant.
At 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, have “Dinner with the Doc” at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville.
Dinner is free for all registered runners, walkers and bike riders, and $7 for the public. Guest speaker will be Dr. Janna Vilen, family and sports medicine physician with Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
