Mount Ski Gull’s Calvin Madison took second-place honors in the boys’ age 10-11 division when the Mount Ski Gull Alpine Team participated in the Northland Junior Race Series (NJRS) event Sunday, Jan. 13, at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.
Madison’s time was 1:07.13, slightly under 2 seconds short of the first-place position. Race organizers said 20 racers represented the Mount Ski Gull Alpine Race Team from the Brainerd area.
Mount Ski Gull will host the next NJRS scheduled race at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20.
