Lightning girls win 4-0

Morgan Demars, Courtney Kittock, Megan Snyder and Erika Monson each scored as visiting Northern Lakes topped Morris-Benson 4-0 for the Lightning’s sixth consecutive win on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Northern Lakes’ goaltenders Madison Galligan and Hailey Deutsch, who switched midway through the second period, combined for 13 saves in the shutout win. Losing goalie Shianne Wold had 36 saves.

Mariah Reed, Kaylyn Eggena and Mikaela Florey added assists for the Lightning, who improved to 10-6 overall. The Lightning were scheduled to face St. Cloud Cathedral on Tuesday, Jan. 15, and travel to Park Rapids on Thursday, Jan. 17.
