Healthy Triathlete Learning Session offered by Essentia Health

Posted: January 8, 2013 - 6:42pm

Essentia Health, sponsor of the Brainerd Jaycees Run for the Lakes, Kiwanis Kids Triathlon, Lakes Country Triathlon and Sour Grapes, offers a Healthy Triathlete learning session at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Rehabilitation Clinic in the lower level of Northern Orthopedics on South Sixth Street in Brainerd.

Lara Parkin, Essentia Health athletic trainer, will discuss ways to stay healthy during training, avoid overuse and abuse, solve muscle imbalance problems and offseason training tips.

“The offseason is a great time to do some ‘fine-tuning’ and make sure your muscles are working with each other, rather than against,” Parkin said.

For more information and to register, call Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Rehabilitation Clinic at 218-828-7375.
