Patriots beat PR-B, Park Rapids

Travis Jacobson scored a game-high 28 points to lead the visiting Pequot Lakes past Pine River-Backus 69-44 in a non-conference boys’ basketball action on Thursday, Dec. 20.

The Patriots, 4-3 overall, are scheduled to play at the Little Falls tournament on Dec. 28-29. Pequot Lakes will open against Upsala at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28.

Jordan Redmond added 17 points for the Patriots while Beau Howard led the way for the Tigers with 16 points. PR-B drops to 1-6 overall.

The Patriots now own a 17-0 record over Pine River-Backus over the past 11 seasons.

Patriots 59, Park Rapids 51

Jordan Redmond led all scorers with 22 points and Travis Jacobson added 17 to lead Pequot Lakes to a win over the Park Rapids Panthers in Mid-State Conference action on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Tyler Tappe had 10 points for the Patriots, who improved to 2-1 in the conference. Redmond had a team-high nine rebounds.
