Donate to gifted, talented programming

Posted: January 28, 2014 - 5:54pm

At the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation, we were entrusted with a fine opportunity to assist K-12 gifted and talented education in our public schools. Connie (Washington High School Class of ’64) and Gary Grittner from Fort Pierre, S.D., have offered a $10,000 challenge if we can match it.

This would augment current gifted and talented programming for K-12 grades at all schools with $20,000 in funding over the next four years ($5,000 per year).

Every dollar you give is doubled and every dollar will fund student needs.

Due to a broad base of support since November, we have $8,300 so we have almost reached $10,000.

Please help us reach our goal by giving online at or mail your donation to BPSF, 804 Oak St., Brainerd, MN 56401.

The Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our mission is to enhance opportunities for quality academics, activities, arts and athletics for the students of the Brainerd Public Schools.

We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing the community at The Big Event on Feb. 8 at Cragun’s. See for tickets.

Executive director
