What's best for Crosslake

Posted: October 8, 2013 - 6:43pm

I have been coming to Crosslake for 31 years and have been a resident in Crosslake for 16 years.

Tom Swenson, Ken Anderson and their thoughtless actions against Crosslake’s residents and businesses all came to a head several years ago. The arrogance that these department heads had toward the citizens and businesses of Crosslake was the last straw before it broke their backs.

The election of 2012 had proved to city hall and all of Crosslake that its citizens wanted, for the health of Crosslake, a change of command that was necessary and reasonable. The old, bobble-headed outgoing members of the last regime were replaced with a proactive city council.

There are some that will throw sticks and stones or are shallow because they had lost their bid for election and write false articles in newspapers, or members will resign from P&Z. That is OK. They must have had a sense they were a part of the mess that Crosslake now finds itself in.

No matter, it was their choice; they feel that they did not want to be a part of the rebirth of Crosslake’s businesses and the new health of its citizens and part-time residents.

If they cannot help the growth and resurgence of Crosslake, it’s better for the city that they sulk at home and leave the city business to a more proactive population.
