Many of us have pleasant memories of past Crosslake summers, enjoying the lakes, family get-togethers, water events and overall fun.
Crosslake is a destination for many people across the state, and even the nation, because of these wonderful times. The annual fireworks on the lake are a part of this summer experience.
We are working to raise the money and your help is urgently needed to support the 43rd annual event, which will take place Saturday, July 6, from Sand Island on Cross Lake at dusk. The city of Crosslake donates $5,000 toward the event, and the community is charged with raising $5,000.
We are still $1,700 short of this goal! We don’t want a repeat of 1996 summer, which resulted in a cancellation of the fireworks because of a lack of funding. The city of Crosslake received an anonymous gift this year, not to fund the basic fireworks display, but to enhance the display, so combined with your contributions, we can anticipate an awesome show!
There are several ways you can help.
Send your check payable to the PAL Foundation of Crosslake (fireworks in the memo line) and drop it off or mail it to the Crosslake Community Center at 14126 Daggett Pine Road, Crosslake, MN 56442. The PAL Foundation is a 501C3 charitable foundation so your gift is tax deductible.
Donate $3 and receive a “Celebrate America-Crosslake” souvenir wristband found at many merchants in Crosslake. This identifies that you are a fireworks supporter. Wear it proudly and encourage others to support the fireworks.
Drop your change or cash in the fireworks donation cans that you will find at merchants in Crosslake. It’s amazing how fast this extra change adds up!
Thank you in advance for your contributions to help Crosslake Celebrate America!
