Taxpayers should not fund early childhood education
I write this in response to your recent Perspective article, “In support of early childhood education.”
A number of years ago, while attending a public meeting on the bonding of the new Eagle View Elementary School, I voiced my opposition to taxpayer funds going toward building to accommodate early childhood education facilities.
I opined that it was merely expensive baby-sitting paid for by taxpayers. The only beneficiaries were the additional teachers/administration and the parents.
That, of course, incurred the wrath of a young mother attendee.
An organization, Reason Foundation, found that government tests showed that by first grade there was no difference between preschool kids enrolled in Head Start and those who were not.
These not-surprising facts were revealed and discussed on John Stossel’s April 29, 2012, evening program on Fox news TV.
I rest my case!

No wonder Vic is using an alternative set of "facts." In reality, Head Start saves tax money - big time.

Really RWN? Hows that?
Got any facts? And dont start the vomiting again!
For every $1 invested in Head Start, America reaps $7-$9 ROI
"Head Start generates a Return On Investment (ROI) that could make hedge fund managers envious. For every $1 invested in Head Start, America reaps a ROI ranging from $7 to $9."

John Stossel has a record of being nearly 100% wrong. He is a rightwing whacko. But then that's what Faux News is all about.
Reason Foundation is an extreme rightwing think-tank/lobby
It is funded by anti-Americans, like the Koch Brothers, and is in bed with the highly corrupt ALEC, a sleazy organization who writes some of the most extreme bills intorduced by rightwing legislators across the country.
They have ZERO credibility.
If John S. is nearly always
If John S. is nearly always 100% wrong why dont we hear about any lawsuits against him?
I checked and he is always 100% right.
As far as anyone having zero credibility RWN. Look in the mirror!
He's got a right be consistently wrong, just like you
Jaysoffhisrocker, John Stossell has a right to make stupid, outrageous and incorrect claims, based on his twisted perspective, just like you always do.

You must have been reading a Fox news "story" to get that information Jay. Did you Google the name? I typed his name in and this is what I got. http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1133
I'm sure you won't read it Jay since it's the truth and not what you want to believe.
Unknown, why are you liberals
Unknown, why are you liberals so scared of Fox News anyway?
I watch
I watch Fox News when I want to be lulled to sleep. Who said I was scared or a liberal? There are other news stations that I don't like. Why are you so defensive about Fox News Jay?
