Disagrees with ‘gun-grabbers’

Sunday morning I watched Rick Nolan make a complete idiot out of himself.

When asked if he would support anti-gun legislation he said something to the effect he’s been a hunter all his life from northeast Minnesota. He goes on to say we don’t need these so called “assault weapons” to hunt ducks.

Really, Rick, you hunt ducks with a rifle? That’s illegal, you know.

Just goes to show how stupid these gun-grabbers are. God help us!

Openroad Misses the Point

Openroad, you don't seem to understand your own post. You attributed the idiotic statement, made by some professor, to Jay and other gun supporters. That makes you an idiot. Being such an idiot is why I suspect that your are Nutty with different log-in.

Jay is Right!!!

Openroad, you must have your head up your rear. There is definitely a video from the Today Show on the msnbc.msn.com website that states that only handguns where used and the rifle was found in the car.

How old was that video? It

How old was that video? It looks like it was done the day of or the day after the shooting. Lots of things were not clear until days later. I don't trust the today show news video at all.
I think is you look past this date you will find that this was not correct information. At first they said this was not Adam but his brother that was later proved to be false. I didn't see a date but the background is the fire station where lots of news videos were made. I will see if I can contact someone at the today show to see if they stand by this story today.
How many gun nuts will believe this as the truth? They want to believe that Obama wants to take all guns away, this is not true. Rush Limpballs and R. Paul will call it the truth just to make a point that your guns are not safe. This is bull and you know it. Some of the gun nuts will believe anything they hear.

Open is Amazingly Moronic

Open says, "jayoffyourrocker I have been searching the internet for some creatable story that the bushmaster was not used to kill the children ...You said this was on the Today show but no such story comes up. You having paranoid sycophantic episodes again? Maybe you need to increase the meds again."

and he says,

"Good try jaysoffhisrocker but the site doesn't exist. Another one of your exaggerations. I wouldn't call it a lie because I don't think you can tell the difference between the truth and a lie. Part of a sign of mental instability."

When he is shown proof that such a story on the Today Show existed, somehow it doesn't count.

Openroad, anyone can make a mistake. But the fact that you don't just own up to your mistake, shows that you have zero credibility.

This is a newer report then the today show report.

Like I said I couldn't find the today report until you posted the address and yes this was another misinformed report by the today show. They need to get the facts straight before airing statements. Wikipedia also has detailed information on the shooting.
I posted that I watched the video that I couldn't find anywhere. Do you have trouble reading what I post? I just don't think they should have reported something that was an error.

Open, I have no problem

Open, I have no problem reading your posts. It seems you have have problems understanding your own posts.

Jay stated that the Today Show had a story about the weapons used. Jay was right.

Open insisted that Jay was wrong. Open was WRONG. Further Open accused jay of having paranoid sycophantic episodes, and he needed to increase the meds again, among other insults.

Openroad tries to change the narrative. The issue is not which story is right. That is a matter for the investigators to determine. The issue is the fact that Jay referenced a legitimate story. You insulted him, and accused him of making it up, just because you are unable to use an internet search engine.

Open, you owe Jay an apology, but I doubt you have the integrity to do the right thing.

By the way....

Executive order by the President is NOT law. Laws can only be passed by Congress and they must be Constitutional which is subject to Supreme Court review.

Executive Orders are orders given by the President, acting as the head of the Executive Branch, to Federal Administrative Agencies. Executive Orders are generally used to direct federal agencies and officials in their execution of congressionally established laws or policies.

Executive Orders can be challenged in court, usually on the grounds that the Order deviates from "congressional intent" or exceeds the President's constitutional powers.

So he can tell Federal Officials what to do but not you and I as citizens nor law enforcement nor can they restrict rights provided in law or the Constitution.

Here is what one Congressman from Oklahoma weighed in with...

“The constitution was not written by the government to tell the people what rights they had. The constitution was written by the people to limit the government’s power. What the Obama administration is proposing in potential legislative actions and executive orders is a violation of 2nd amendment rights which guarantees us the right to keep and bear arms.

In Oklahoma there are many law abiding citizens who hunt, fish and keep guns for self-protection. The last thing we need to do infringe upon the rights of those citizens. Criminals who chose to break the law will not be deterred by any number of executive actions. These rights are a fundamental way of life for people in my District and across the United States.

The President is politicizing a national tragedy to impose his own personal agenda. This is outrageous and an outright assault on civil liberties. I strongly oppose restricting the rights of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms and will do everything I can to protect our second amendment rights.”

Facts are facts - Yes RWNS is wrong yet again!

The true purpose of executive orders is I mentioned earlier to direct the enforcement of Congressional legislation.

Article II of the Constitution, which establishes the executive branch of the government, does not mention the authority to issue orders with the force of law ANYWHERE.

Some of the orders that make up the so called "We Can't Wait" initiative, however are consistent with delegated Congressional authority, but not executive authority. The framers of the Constitution delegated powers among the different branches in order that they may be best restrained. They knew that politicians with agendas, even agendas that are supported by a majority of the people, are dangerous for a Republic.

The Constitution is clear that the only acts of the federal government which are enforceable against citizens are those which are made by Congress, pursuant to the delegated authority of the legislature, and either approved by the president or have sufficient support from Congress to override a presidential veto. Executive orders used to bypass Congress in the creation of law are not permitted by the Constitution.

Funny, Nutty posts a link to an article which accuses Obama of "probably a violation of the Constitution," with his use of executive orders.

Nutty, there is nothing in your link that refutes Dapa2's post. As a matter of fact, it only reinforces his position.

Nutty, it must be difficult going through life with your mental deficiencies.

Nice...

thanks for the support RWNs! LOL

Yes every President has used them. That does not make the use of all of the Constitutional or legal.

Lots of us shoot guns too... problem is us lawful folks do so legally while the gang bangers are holding up grandma, the local Holiday gas station, or breaking into your neighbors house. One is legal the other is not... can you figure it out? Same thing applies to Executive Orders. Too much analysis for you to handle?

Let us know!

[filtered word] equates Lybia to reasonable gun executive orders

I don't know if he is hysterical, or simply just can't reason with the tiny thing.

He simply isn't smart enough to figure out there is a huge difference between executive orders for a military conflict and for very reasonable gun regulations that don't infringe on anyone's constitutional rights.

Nutty Defies Logic

Nutty admits that Obama has issued unconstitutional executive orders in the past to invade another country. Who thinks he will hesitate to issue more unconstitutional executive orders in the future?

Executive orders are to help officers and agencies of the executive branch manage the operations within the federal government itself. However, Obama has threatened to use executive orders in lieu of legislation. Nutty, that would be unconstitutional!!!

Logic from a [filtered word]

Obama figured that only Congress can ban unnecessary weapons that you gun-nuts love, but there is no way his very reasonable executive orders will be overturned. No way whatsoever, just like most other executive orders from other presidents.

We barely have a functioning Congress, thanks to you Teabagger whackos, so banning the sale of those weapons for mass-killing will need to wait until what's left of the GOP is voted out. Your GOP is little more popular than al Qaeda these days, you know.

I didn't say that the order to intervene in Libya was legal or illegal, but you love to dishonestly distort things, don't you? It's just more legally controversial than the very reasonable new gun regulations. No reasonable people challenged the Libya intervention, so it stood up. That is nothing new.
