Disagrees with ‘gun-grabbers’

Sunday morning I watched Rick Nolan make a complete idiot out of himself.

When asked if he would support anti-gun legislation he said something to the effect he’s been a hunter all his life from northeast Minnesota. He goes on to say we don’t need these so called “assault weapons” to hunt ducks.

Really, Rick, you hunt ducks with a rifle? That’s illegal, you know.

Just goes to show how stupid these gun-grabbers are. God help us!

Hypocrisy

Interesting how Rick Nolan's campaign literature showed him holding a Browning Auto Rifle (BAR), which I presume he uses for deer hunting. Rick's BAR is functionally equivalent to anything he presents as an "assault weapon." Since the BAR is semi-automatic, his use of it is another perfect example of Democrat hypocrisy. Good enough for Congressman Nolan, but not for the rest of us? Give me a break!

I had to call in to the radio

I had to call in to the radio talk show I listen to daily today. The issue under discussion was "reasonable" legislation to prevent another massacre and keep firearms out of the hands of those who clearly should not have them. One knucklehead called in with the suggestion that anyone who wants to purchase a firearm should be required to have a license to do it. Amazingly, the host of the show, who claims to carry a copy of the Constitution with him at all times, AGREED with him, opining that was just a dandy idea. Since when does a citizen of the United States of America be required to have a license in order to exercise a constitutional RIGHT?

When I called in, he took my call and then essentially cut me off after blowing me off, the gutless weasel. He also has opined that we shouldn't have so-called "assault rifles" to protect ourselves from the tyranny of our own government because we could never hope to do it successfully. After all, he said, the government has helicopter gunships, right? I pointed out out that we have helicopter gunships in Afghanistan and so did the Russans. We've been fought to a standstill and the Russians finally gave up. He replied that Afghanistan has mountains. I replied, "And we DON'T?" That's when he blew me off with a stupid wisecrack about "Red Dawn" and cut me off before I had an opportunity to recite some more history, including Vietnam and particularly, our own Revolutionary War.

Can a "citizens' army" resist and defeat an oppressive government? History says, "You betcha!"

Keep yer powder dry!

Who is he planning on shooting at?

Jays Offhisrocker actually doesn't even know why they cut him off as a caller to that radio show, with an unhinged rant like that. Even more amazing, for him to be listening to it, it must have been rightwing hate radio.

He's repeatedly ranted about arming himself with all sorts of rapid-fire assault weapons and high volume magazines in preparation for mowing down dozens of "the enemy" in one fell swoop, Rambo-style. He doesn't realize that he is talking about shooting and killing his fellow Americans! In his state of extreme delusion and hyper-paranoia, he is arming himself to the hilt in preparation for some sort of imaginary invasion from those Obami commie Kenyan militia, in their fleet of armored Priuses and Volts, surrounding his bunker in some sort of tyrannical government take-over.

He recites the same unhinged rants as whackjob Alex Jones. Personally, I'm not comfortable with them having access to guns - at all.

How far is the Baby along? LOL

BTW, just found 3 "Assault Weapons" with lots of ammo cheap. Should be here Friday. Just in time for the weekend. I'm takin a couple disabled kids out ice fishin and then we'll go to the range. I'll teach em how to protect themselves with those evil weapons.
Do you think the disabled should be able to protect themselves RWN?

Oh, RWN, if you think I'm such a danger why dont you call LE on me? I'd be glad to talk to em!

Right on point Jay!

Letter is right on.. the hypocrisy of the left. All those Hollywood liberals living in their gate communities with private security calling for less guns for everyone, Feinstein and her liberal troop in Washington, the President and Vice President maybe they should do away with the Secret Service?

Again - those with permits are far more law biding statistically than average population. That is a fact that RWNS and the left cannot refute.

Dapa2 confuses passion with stupidity

Dapa2, it apparently hasn't occurred to you, but people can be passionate about things, without also being unhinged whackjobs. From your idiotic posts, you Three Stooges consistently demonstrate in full vibrato your absurdly passionate and crazy obsession with your gun-orgy. That obviously applies especially the dangerous rightwing extremist whackjob who has proven beyond a doubt that he is completely off his rocker.

I quit being interested in playing with guns when I was 12 or 13. You Three Stooges will never grow out of it.

Is that when you started playing with yerself RWN?

I'll pose the same questions to you Openroad.
If you THINK I'm so crazy and you THINK I'm gonna go on some kinda killing spree ya better call LE on me.
Do you THINK disabled people should be able to defend themselves?

Here's one for both you liberal nutcases:Do you think self preservation is a God given natural right or a privilege that a lawmaker with ARMED guards should decide for us?

Playing with guns

Thats funny RWNs. For one responsible gun owners do not "play" with guns. We use them for target shooting, hunting and other legitimate activities including keeping skills sharpened so they are ready if needed. Get a grip with yourself will you...

Training

Another thing us responsible gun owners get. I and all permit holders take training in conflict avoidance, dealy force, aftermath of deadly force, everyday police encounters, choosing weapons, mechanics and legalities of everyday carry, out of state travel, safety, proper handling and storage.

We are trained in the safe handling of a firearm. Many of us have been around guns for years.

That doesnt make any one of us crazy. That makes us safe, dependable and accountable for the firearms we possess.

So go pick your argument for the illegal, who is in a gang, who steals a weapon or buys one illegally. None of what I just said applies to THEM!!!!!!!

More censorship of comments by the Echo!!! Unacceptable!!

Either there is a bug in the Echo's new software, or they are completely out of line for arbitrarily blocking comments, despite having absolutely no personal attacks or harassment of others, racist, obscene or hateful remarks.

It's getting to the point where the Echo is only going to have comments with one perspective: the rightwing fringe.

[filtered word] doesn't get it, as always

[filtered word], a shotgun has a legitimate purpose for hunting. An AR 15, or similar assault rifle has absolutely no legitimate purpose for citizens whatsoever. None...zero. Their only purpose, other than as a toy, to satisfy hyper-paranoid tin foil hat whacko's like you, or to compensate for lacking manhood, is to rapidly kill or injure groups of people at once without reloading. Huge difference, that you gun-nuts wouldn't understand.

Another example of not getting it

A shot from a 30 round magazine is no more or less destructive than one shot from a 3 round chamber, but a 30 round magazine has absolutely no legitimate use whatsoever, other than for rapid fire killing or injuring of groups of people. Now watch the Three Stooges again defend their unhinged tin foil hat hyper-paranoid fear scenario of some sort of Obami commie Kenyan militia comin' to get 'em.

We very much need rational reforms, like banning large volume magazines, all internet sales of guns and ammo, universal background checks on ALL sales (the psychological checks are likely the REAL reason why Jays so offhisrocker about rational gun reforms), and the sale of completely unnecessary assault weapons.

Because RWN says so.....

it must be true. "An AR 15, or similar assault rifle has absolutely no legitimate purpose for citizens whatsoever. None...zero." What qualifies you to make that statement. My brother in law hunted his deer in Wisconsin with a gun that you would consider an assault rifle. It is smaller in caliber than my .270. What is your definition of assault rifle RWNs?

After you define that which we would love to hear then please tell us again how you think the 2nd amendment was crafted for hunting and target shooting....can't wait to hear this ridiculous story....!

I have seen your jibber jabber that there is no need for high capacity magazines...etc. Sure there is no use for a car that goes 200 MPH or a meal over 1,500 calories, but we allow them because of things called freedom and personal responsibility. Do you really want to live in a police state where the government controls every aspect of our lives? I DONT!

And what does internet have to do with this? I bought a weapon from Bud's Gun Shop online, they did NICS check as they are FFL dealer. They shipped to a FFL dealer where I went and completed the transfer. Exactly why should that be made illegal? Because you say so?

Dapa2, it's because 58% think you are wrong

It isn't just me saying so, 58% of Americans (most rightwingers obviously excluded) agree with the need for common sense reforms, like I noted above, which you and the other Three Stooges obviously don't have.

Freedom, FREEDUMB!, is all you radicals can come up with. Would you draw the line at rocket-propelled granades? Why or why not? They have the same purpose as high-capacity assault rifles, like an AR15 with a high capacity magazine. there is no legitimate need for any of them, unless you want to be prepared to do what you crazy whackos have been talking about all along: Arming yourselves so you are prepared to kill masses of your fellow Americans in some sort of imaginary tin foil hat Obami-commie government take-over.

Then you play the stupid "police state" card to prop-up your indefensible beliefs to support our insane gun culture and reject very reasonable reforms.

Dapa2's brother hunts with an assault rifle?

Is that brother you are referring to the notorious Mndapa, the acknowledged rightwing extremist whose posts revealed him as a highly immoral religious zealot? The guy who proclaimeth that black people should not be permitted to have guns? (Freedumb!!) Is it THAT brother you are referring to who thinks he needs an assault rifle to hunt?

Does he hunt with a 30 round magazine so, if he misses his prey with one or two shots, and as his prey is of course getting away at full speed, he can continue to unload another 28 shots at thin air? Yeh, that's a real smart sportsman.

RWN, nobody MAKES you own a Weapon right? So why should some lawmaker make me defenceless?
If you chose to be a victim and not have a Weapon thats your choice, my choice is to be armed and not be a victim or a subject!

I'll ask this question again RWN and Open:Do you think self preservation is a God given natural right or a privilege that a lawmaker with ARMED guards should decide for us?

Why do you keep bashing "Freedom" RWN?

I think self preservation is

I think self preservation is a God given right, and that we should use the weapons that God gave us. Lawmakers need armed guards because of gun fanatics out there wanting to kill them for having an opinion that they don't agree with. Some nuts think they should be killed just because of the party they belong too. What ever happened to the majority rules? The majority of the people elected Obama with more then 3 million votes, and 58% of the people believe that we need sticker gun laws. There are even NRA members that think we need to do something. Just because you have a warped way of thinking doesn't mean you are right. Let the people rule in this matter. Keep your guns, and stay safe. I think more guns are stolen from homes when no one is home, then guns that are used to defend homes. I know if we were robbed our vault probably wouldn't stop anyone from taking our guns and maybe using them in another crime.

Can you read RWNs?

I know that is a dumb question. I said brother in law but I know you have a problem reading so no wonder that you aqain rant without reading.

The you post... "because 58% think you are wrong" for those on the left that hate polls now you want to use them...good grief. Ask a question and you will get an answer tailored to how it was ask. Did these same pollster tell people that with assault weapons ban that violence did NOT go down? Common sense is something you have a clue about so why do you think taking one liberty is common sense vs not taking another?

But like others we ask you to define assault rifle because you say they should be banned. What is your definition of assault rifle? Did you know the shooting in California was done with a 12 gauge shot gun? Should we ban them now too? Forget that the lame media labeled the regular 12 gauge "high powered"... which is taking liberty with words to portray fear rather than relay facts.

Then you undermine freedom because that is the best that we can come up with. Thats funny! Without freedom what do you have? Tyranny! We dont need a nanny state or totalitarianism in this country that is EXACTLY why the 2nd amendment was adopted to begin with.

Banning handguns, shotguns, assault weapons will only take guns out of law abiding citizens hands. That is fact! These have had no impact on real violence "the bans" anywhere they have been imposed (Mexico, Britain, Australia .....)

I will not give up my guns no matter what some limp and lame politician in Washington or St. Paul says.

Dapa2 rants the hysterical 'cold dead hands' mentality

Dapa2, take a fricken pill! Nobody's comin' to take your guns away, despite what the BS the gun-nut whackos are telling you. Unfortunately, the rightwing brain only has an on-off switch that can only see everything as all or nothing. They're only talking about relatively minor, very reasonable common sense reforms that won't take away your freedom, FREEDUMDY!
