Terry Arlington Martin
Terry Arlington Martin, 75, of Riverton, died Jan. 21, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 23, 1938, in Breckenridge to Denny and Emerald (Gilbert) Martin. He married Ila Bodle on April 13, 1957, in Crosby. He was a retired journeyman with IBEW Local 160 and 31 with 20 years at Minnesota Power and 20 years with Northern States Power. He was a former voice of Paul Bunyan at Paul Bunyan Land in Brainerd; a mentor at Central Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge, Brainerd Campus; and a Riverton City Councilman, serving three terms. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crosby.
Survivors include his wife, Ila; son, Tab (Melanie) Martin of Allenton, Mich.; three daughters, Tammy (Barry) Landon of Crosby, Jodi (Craig) Biggar of Brookings, S.D., and Terri (William) Dabill of Pine River; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Assembly of God Church in Crosby. Burial was at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township with full military honors with the Myrin-James American Legion Post No. 443, Ironton. Visitation was from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church Saturday.
