Wade Reynolds, 34, of Pequot Lakes, went to be with his friend, Jesus, on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, after a battle with cancer. Wade fought his illness with the same tenacity, humor and grace that he lived his life.
He was born to Bruce and Susan Reynolds on Dec. 7, 1979, in Coon Rapids. Wade married Melissa Gage on Feb. 3, 2001, at the Church of the Nazarene in Brainerd. He worked at Hengel Ready Mix and Construction in Pillager for more than 10 years and most recently with the Cass County Highway Department. He was very active at the Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed sports, but most important to him was his family. Wade was known for his integrity, humbleness, sly humor and was “bigntender.”
Wade is survived by his wife, Melissa; children, Ashlynn, Myca and Amelia; mother, Susan Reynolds of Merrifield; brothers, Casey (Kim) Reynolds and their children, Sye and Boyd, of Pequot Lakes, and Brock (Kati) Reynolds of Crosby; sister, LeeAnn Reynolds and her children, Debbie, Brandi and Andrew, of Brainerd; brother-in-law, Kyle Gage, of Minneapolis; father- and mother-in-law, Tony and Kathy Gage, of East Gull Lake.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce; grandparents, Lue and Grace Reynolds, and William and Frances Braunschweig.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Brainerd Church of the Nazarene. Visitation was Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Brainerd Church of the Nazarene, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Arrangements were with Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
