Vincent “Vinnie” A. Knoll
Vincent “Vinnie” Albert Knoll, 77, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, five weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
He was born in Hastings, Minn., on April 25, 1936, to Steven and Margaret Knoll. He worked for 3M for 36 years before retiring to Pequot Lakes in 1992 where he became a beloved school bus driver. Vinnie was an avid fisherman who will be remembered for his big heart and great sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and son, Kevin. He is survived by four children, Maralee Knoll, Nathan (Julia) Knoll, Kelli (John Schmeling) and Kari (Al Spreeman); five grandchildren; sister, Dorothy (Dubie) Swanson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Vinnie always wanted to go to college so he donated his body to the University of Minnesota Medical School. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Christian Church in Hastings, Minn.
