Stephen W. Johnson

He was born in Minneapolis on March 25, 1966, to William H. and Elaine (White) Johnson.
Early in his career he was employed by Midwest Patrol in Minneapolis. During his employment in security he trained in behavioral health. He then discovered an interest in real estate and became an agent and broker and started his own business. A few years ago he moved to Brainerd to aid in the care for his father and found a job at Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Steve had many interests, including NASCAR, fishing and woodworking. He dearly loved his dogs, Chester and Lady, and his ducks, “C” and “K.” He was the founder of LMFKC Fishing Club.
Surviving are his mother, Elaine Johnson of Merrifield; three sisters, Susan Schefelbein, Sharon Johnson and Sara Habib, all of Minneapolis; five nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Lindsey) Johnson, Ben (Dani Dokken) Johnson, Michael, Chelsea and Olivia Georges; two great-nieces, Grace and Isabel; special friends, Jeff Johnson, Dan Peterson, Dale Kramer and Jodi Schouweiler, and many others; aunts, uncles, cousins and their families.
He was preceded in death by his father, William, and his grandparents.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. Saturday with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Church of the Nazarene, 16549 Johnson Road North, Brainerd, with Pastor Ron Keysor officiating. Luncheon at the church followed the service.
Arrangements were with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and Crematory, Brainerd.
