Pauline Tranby, 96, of Pine River, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society Bethany, Brainerd.

Orphie Pauline Tranby was born to Oscar and Agnes Amoth on Nov. 18, 1916, in Jamestown, N.D.

She was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Pine River and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and singing in the choir.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Ray (Carol), Howard (Patti) and Marvin (Kay); sister, Alpha Klotz; 10 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Dave and Harvey; sister, Olive Salthe; grandson, Greg Tranby; and great-granddaughter, Tanya Tranby.

Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Bonnie Lomen officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service. Burial was to be in Saron Lutheran Cemetery, Erskine, Minn. Arrangements were with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
