Pastor Marlys Korman, 76, of Outing, formerly of Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Center, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
She was born to Roy and Linda Dowden on Oct. 3, 1936, in Minneapolis. Marlys married Bill Korman on Sept. 10, 1955. She served as pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg, for many years.
Marlys is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill; children, Kent (Carla) Korman and Kim (Kevin) O’Shaughnessy; grandchildren, Tyler and Lindsey O’Shaughnessy, and Andy Korman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Crosslake Lutheran Church. Visitation was to be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to services at the church. There will also be a service at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Glen Haven Cemetery Chapel, Crystal, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
