Charles E. “Poe” Myers Sr.

Charles Elmore Myers Sr., 79, of Westminster, Md., died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. He was the son of the late Alfred N. Myers Sr. and Mary Elmore Myers.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; and sons, Charles Jr. of Newport News, Va., and Scott C. (Sue) of Chapel Hill, N.C.; daughter, Michele (Tim) Shortley of Laytonsville, Md.; stepdaughter, Jennifer Lewis of Austin, Texas; brothers, David H. (Christine) of Hattiesburg, Miss., and John P. (Violet) of Pequot Lakes, Minn.; a sister, Mary Emma Bowen of Westminster; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Leigh Anne Lewis; and brothers, Alfred Jr. and Joseph Sr.
Inurnment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
