Swimming lessons for ages 9 months and up will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays, June 3, 5, 10, 12 and 17.

These lessons are held during the day at the AmericInn Pool in Pequot Lakes/Jenkins. Class times vary depending on swim level.

Students who will be 15 by Sept. 1, 2013, can register for the state-mandated 30 hours of classroom instruction for a driver’s permit.

This class will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. May 28-31 and June 3-7 at Pequot Lakes High School.

Classroom fee is $75. Class size is limited to 45 students; register now before the class is full.

The Curriculum Advisory Committee of the Pequot Lakes School District will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, in the high school Gathering Room (#303).

This meeting is open to all parents, community residents, staff and students who are interested in educational programming at the elementary level, middle level and high school level. 

The focus of the evening’s meeting will be the high school’s Ramp Up To Readiness Program, a college and career readiness program designed to prepare students for success beyond high school.

Crosslake Community School will host its second annual Evening of Education fundraiser on Thursday, May 16, at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $50 each, which includes a prime rib dinner, live and silent auctions and entertainment by magician Matt Dunn.

The school is accepting applications for enrollment for the 2013-14 school year in kindergarten through eighth grade. All classes are limited to 19 students each.
