The Pequot Lakes Eagles 4-H club was awarded one of two “judges’ favorite” recognitions at the Minnesota State Fair for the Share the Fun skit “4-GRT News.”

This club was established in 2005, and since then has presented a Share the Fun skit at the Minnesota State Fair seven times, being selected judges’ favorite six times.

The majority of club members are in the Performing Arts project, but they also have interests in other projects such as Robotics, Food and Nutrition, Child and Family Development, Crafts and Fine Arts, Clothing and Textiles, Geology, Shooting Sports and Wildlife, Photography and Youth Leadership.

The Eagles 4-H club is involved with the community by volunteering at the Senior Class assisted living facility in Pequot Lakes, running games for the AmericInn Haunted Hallway, volunteering to run games during the Chokecherry Festival, donating to the local food shelf, Tiny Sprouts day care and the Pequot Lakes Library.

Donating Christmas baskets to Whispering Pines Long Term Care Facility in Pine River for their silent auction has been a yearly event the kids look forward to doing.
