In Soap Making 101, students will learn the old-fashioned process of soap making using oils and lye.
Each student will go home with a bar of fresh soap and a recipe/information sheet to use at home. The instructor will talk about additives like goat’s milk and lye safety.
Instructor Abbie Schramm of B&B Goat Goods will teach this class from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Eagle View Elementary School in Room #154.

Students wanting to take Soap Making 102 must have attended the Soapmaking 101 class at some time.
Abbie Schramm of B&B Goat Goods will teach this advanced soap making class. Students will make a 5-pound loaf of soap. Students will bring a mold and 55 ounces of oils, along with any liquids, fragrances or additives they would like in their soap.
Schramm will provide the lye, buckets, mixing utensils and mold liners.
After you register, Schramm will contact you to plan your soap and make sure you have all the ingredients needed.
This class will be held at Eagle View Elementary School in room #154 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, June 17-18. Class fee is $15, and the class is limited to seven students.
