Sweet Science class offered for students

Posted: March 19, 2013 - 5:26pm

Is your child interested in science? Do they have fun doing experiments and figuring out why things do what they do?

In the Sweet Science class students will explore all sorts of fun science concepts using many different types of candy. They will find out if Butterfingers float or sink. What does it take to make an M&M turn brown? What happens to a candy cane when you heat it up? How much sugar is really in our treats? Come and have a “Whopper” of a good time.

Instructor Angie Wallin will teach this class at Eagle View Elementary School in the science room on Wednesday, April 10, from 3:15-5 p.m.

Class fee is $20; instructor needs a minimum of five registered students to hold the class.

Pre-registration is required, call Pequot Lakes Community Education, 218-568-9200.
