The Staples campus of Central Lakes College on Jan. 25 hosted nearly 500 area high school students for Career Exploration Day. Pine River-Backus sophomores posed in the photo imaging technology studio, where a CLC student captured an image that in a few minutes produced keepsake prints for each of the students. In another session, Brainerd attorney Conrad Kragness led students from PR-B and elsewhere in a legal exercise. Other schools participating were Little Falls, Royalton, Sebeka, Aitkin, Pierz, Pillager and Staples-Motley. The students examined two dozen career areas and the educational pathways to them as presented by working professionals and educators. They also received lunch from CLC.
