Good Samaritan Society recently named Ryan Cerney as administrator for the Brainerd–Bethany campus.

Cerney has more than nine years of experience within the Good Samaritan Society local campuses, most recently in administration and human resources. Cerney will work under the direction of Mike Deuth, executive director for Good Samaritan Society-Communities of Brainerd and Pine River.

The Good Samaritan Society-Bethany campus consists of a care and rehabilitation center, therapy center, assisted living apartments, home care, hospice and senior living apartments.

The Initiative Foundation named Dan Meyer to its regional board of trustees, where he will serve a renewable three-year term.

Meyer is the board chair of Atomic Learning, Inc., which provides technology training services and products to schools, small businesses and individuals. Meyer was among a group of educators who launched Atomic Learning in 2000 and served as CEO from 2007-12.

Business planning tips are offered in the spring Advantage Series presented by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in the Business and Industry Center at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

On Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6-7:30 p.m. in E151 at CLC, Jay Bock will outline the important elements needed to develop a successful business plan — one that sets a company apart from those who don’t have such a professional approach to operating a business.

All Brainerd Lakes Chamber members are invited to attend the Membership Maximizer from 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Breezy Point Resort to learn how to get the most out of their memberships.

After a continental breakfast, Chamber board chairwoman Kim Ellingson of Bremer Bank will present “Connect with Your Chamber.” Chamber CEO Lisa Paxton will also speak; her presentation, “Your Chamber: The Big Picture,” will be followed by information sharing and discussion in small groups.
