Rachel Johnson, Central Supply staff member at Lakewood Health System in Staples, received the Rising Star Award at the Care Providers of Minnesota’s annual three-day educational convention for long-term care providers last month in Minneapolis.
The Rising Star Award recognizes the contributions of an individual who, although new to the long-term care profession, has made an impact in their years of service.
Johnson helps manage and organize the supplies and ordering system at Lakewood’s Senior Campus, which benefits both the staff and, ultimately, the residents. She has also written grant requests, which have resulted in Lakewood receiving two grants.
