Crow Wing County Republicans will host precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the following locations:
Forestview Middle School, 12149 Knollwood Drive, Baxter; Crosby-Ironton High School, 711 Poplar St., Crosby; Nisswa Elementary School, 5533 County Road 18, Nisswa; and the Old Fire Hall, 36974 County Road 66, Crosslake.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Caucuses begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. with candidates or their representatives delivering brief remarks. At 7 p.m. the group will divide by precincts. There will be a straw poll for governor and U.S. Senate, request for resolutions to the party platform and election of delegates and alternates.
A total of 60 people will be elected as delegates and 60 elected as alternates from Crow Wing County.
The following precincts will meet at the locations listed below:
• Baxter: All precincts in Brainerd and Baxter, Red, White and Blue precincts, Crow Wing, Daggett, Fort Ripley, Long Lake, Oak Lawn and St. Mathias precincts.
• Crosby: All Crosby, Ironton, Deerwood, Cuyuna, Riverton, Trommald, Garrison and Bay Lake, • Dean Lake, Irondale, Maple Grove, Nokay Lake, Perry Lake, Platte Lake, Rabbit Lake, Roosevelt and Wolford precincts.
• Crosslake: All Crosslake, Manhattan Beach and Fifty Lakes, Emily, Ideal, Fairfield, Little Pine, Ross Lake and Timothy precincts.
• Nisswa: Breezy Point, Jenkins, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes, Center, Gail Lake, Lake Edward Mission and Pelican townships.
