Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl reports that on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 12:22 p.m., deer hunters located human remains in a wooded area in Perry Lake Township that are believed to be that of 27-year-old Jesse James Larson, who had been reported missing by family members on June 21, 2013.
Crow Wing County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. At this time, there is no foul play suspected in this death. The remains were transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for positive identification.
Dahl thanks all the volunteers and agencies who assisted during the numerous search efforts to try to locate Larson.
“This is a very tough situation for not only the family, but the many people involved,” Dahl said. “Our deepest sympathy goes out to all who knew Jesse Larson and the entire Larson family.”
