In its proclamation, the council stated that Daudt has been an inspiration and strong supporter of the city of Jenkins, has worked for its residents, business owners and property owners and has shown sound judgment and reason.
As a way of thanking Daudt, the council decided that each year the city will recognize Dale Daudt Day.
